About Me:

Tawny Dominguez, MA, MFT is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who works with her clients to achieve physical and emotional well-being. She helps them take control of their diabetes and other life challenges with a caring, professional, and understanding therapeutic environment. Mrs. Dominguez is dedicated to helping and providing her clients with tools needed to deal with anxiety, depression, body image, family interaction, etc.

 

Mrs. Dominguez believes parental involvement is important. For children, parental involvement is key in developing healthy tools for assisting children with diabetes, body image, anxiety, etc. Not only does Mrs. Dominguez work with the child, she works with the parents as well by providing psycho-education and emotional support. Adolescence is a time of personal growth and autonomy.

Mrs. Dominguez works with the adolescent on diabetic issues and other contributing issues. Parental involvement is important for healthy adolescent development. She encourages clients and parents to communicate openly about issues that may effect well-being.

Mrs. Dominguez works with diabetic adults on increasing metabolic control, as well as physical and emotional well-being. Mrs. Dominguez helps clients take control of their diabetes, allowing clients to live their best life possible.

Mrs. Dominguez has been a Diabetic Motivational Speaker for 9 years. She is also a member of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (CAMFT) and Psi Chi-The National Honor Society in Psychology.

Mrs. Dominguez is a graduate of Chapman University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She completed a Master of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, Emphasis: Marriage and Family Therapy, both from Pepperdine University.
